- The minor provides a useful complement for students who are interested in the role of art in wellness, counseling, communities development, and expression. Students consider the role of the arts as a tool to foster resiliency and to facilitate change on the individual, community, and societal level. Included is a blend of studio-based courses and counseling and mental health courses that emphasize applied and experiential approaches to learning. This integrated and interdisciplinary minor allows students to focus on media of their choice, while considering their therapeutic application.
