minor appeals to students preparing for careers as sports journalists or advertising/public relations professionals specializing in a sports-related area. The minor includes courses examining the prominent role of sports in society with a special emphasis on gender, race, and public policy. When combined with Northeastern’s signature co-op program, the result is an innovative minor that blends theory with practice and prepares students for a broad range of professional opportunities.
