- Description
- This program prepares students to work as Additive and Digital Technicians in industries where manufacturing processes use emerging digital systems. Graduates of the Additive Digital Manufacturing program may work in numerous industries or fields demanding these high-tech skills. Students can find opportunities in the Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) field where they may operate, maintain, repair, and test additive manufacturing systems. They may also assist in materials development or work in research and development departments to rapid prototype engineering or manufacturing solutions. Opportunities also exist in the digital manufacturing field where students may use CAM/CAM more intensly to operate machines and other equipment. Students may create, modify, and edit files and programs to operate machines or setup and implement digital solutions such as machine vision or robotics to increase productivity and efficiency in manufacturing operations.
