- The Production Technologies certificate will expose students to the training, education, and skills to build basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and plant operations, generally for entry-level positions. Students can use the knowledge gained in this certificate to build upon a manufacturing career path leading to higher-level careers in Mechatronics/Automation. Students will receive introductory training in industry practices for safety, manufacturing processes, maintenance, and quality control including lean principles, Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
