- A minor in biology supports and strengthens majors in fields such as public health, chemistry, psychology, business, and economics. In addition, the minor should be considered by students in pre-professional programs such as pre-physical therapy, pre-dentistry, pre-medicine, pre-optometry and pre-pharmacy if they are pursuing a major in a discipline other than biology.
