A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

- Description
- The Design Thinking Minor equips students from any major with foundational and applied competencies in design as a method of inquiry, problem-solving, and innovation. Through a scaffolded sequence in design thinking, visual principles, creative methods, digital fabrication, and digital/visual literacy, students learn to research, frame, prototype, and communicate solutions to complex real-world challenges. Studio-based coursework emphasizes iterative making, collaboration across disciplines, and ethical, technology-rich practices, culminating in an advanced design project that integrates domain knowledge from the student’s primary field of study. This 18-credit minor prepares graduates to bring design literacy, creative leadership, and innovative skills into professional contexts ranging from business, education, health, and technology to community and cultural organizations.
