A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

- Description
- The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders provides students with a strong academic foundation in the study of normal and disordered human communication across the lifespan. The program introduces students to the scientific bases of speech, language, and hearing while integrating coursework in anatomy and physiology, phonetics, language development, speech and hearing science, audiology, and communication disorders. Students acquire essential skills in scientific inquiry, critical thinking, cultural competence, and interprofessional collaboration, which are integral to understanding and supporting individuals with communication differences and disorders. In addition to classroom learning, the program emphasizes experiential education through clinical fieldwork. Students engage in guided clinical observation and structured field experiences where they accumulate clinical clock hours under faculty supervision. This early applied training provides hands-on exposure to professional practice and enhances readiness for graduate-level clinical education.
