- The Animal Science minor will provide students with a basic background in animal biology, diversity, physiology, behavior, and health that is relevant to careers in veterinary medicine, animal production, animal welfare, or conservation. Students will complete core courses in general biology and general chemistry, as well as animal-specific courses in anatomy, behavior, and nutrition, before choosing an additional elective in a more specialized field of animal science. Between 26 - 27 credits of coursework are required for completion of this minor.
