Manhattan College · Riverdale, NY

A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

Description
The goals of the English major at Manhattan University are to develop in students an understanding of literary texts and issues that is coherent, informed, and broadly responsive; to develop in students the ability to articulate that understanding orally and in writing through a critical vocabulary and a variety of methodological and rhetorical structures; and to develop that understanding in a range of courses in English literature, American literature, and world literature in translation.
