A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

- Description
- OCC’s Laboratory Science A.S. degree is designed to seamlessly transfer to bachelor’s programs such as Upstate Medical University’s Medical Laboratory Science BS and Medical Biotechnology BS degrees. Graduates of OCC’s program who transfer and earn a bachelor’s degree in the field will be prepared for careers in clinical laboratory sciences. Clinical laboratory scientists perform lab work that helps diagnose and treat disease and gather data for research studies. The degree also fulfills State University of New York General Education requirements. Note: The LAB.AS degree is not an MLT licensure program. However, completion of the transfer BS programs would provide opportunities for students to take licensure exams.
