Business and Management Certificate (BMCT)

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute · Troy, NY

A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

Description
The Business and Management Certificate develops the framework, purpose, and management of an organization. Students explore the organization and how it creates value, the client and what it sees as having value, and the process and method the organization uses to do what it does. The certificate prepares those who are going to manage people, projects, products, and budgets. The program uses applied projects to build abilities in the context of the student’s actual employer. Students learn to set goals for an organization, achieve those goals, and evaluate and improve how goals are met through processes and organizational systems.
