- Description
- The Managing Technical Organizations certificate prepares engineers and scientists to take on larger managerial responsibilities in very dynamic technically oriented organizations. The program uses applied projects to build abilities in management, strategy, budgeting, and planning within the context of a technical organization in a competitive marketplace. Students learn to evaluate problems and decisions using strategy, finance, and market dynamics to augment decision making ability. Students use planning and management to lead teams and units to achieve organizational objectives. The project-based methodology of the program allows students to use their real-world employer as the case study, evaluating issues, solving problems and findings solutions to ensure the unit and organization meet and exceed goals.
