A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

- Description
- From researching chemicals to discovering, developing, or improving products like paints, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and electronic components, RIT’s chemistry major prepares students to work in all areas of chemistry. Through courses such as analytical, physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry, you will develop a thorough understanding of substances and their chemical properties, as well as how they can be manipulated and transformed into new materials. The curriculum offers the chance to choose a concentration or minor in complementary fields like imaging science, business, graphic arts, psychology, biology, criminal justice, computer science, engineering, environmental science, forensics, mathematics, packaging science, and physics. Students are encouraged to take advantage of undergraduate research experiences to work with faculty and to practice real-world lab applications. RIT’s cooperative education and internship program includes a variety of available science co-ops.
