A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

- Description
- RIT’s bachelor’s degree in exercise science prepares you to understand how exercise impacts the human body and to study the connections and benefits between fitness, exercise, nutrition, and health. You will gain an in-depth understanding of exercise, human movement, body systems, and physiological concepts that are part of the human body’s physical response to exercise. The program provides a solid foundation in exercise science as well as skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving. To tailor your degree toward your career goals, you will choose from two tracks. The clinical track is designed for those interested in using exercise as therapy by performing fitness assessments, designing exercise prescriptions, and implementing therapeutic exercise programs for health promotion. The athletic track takes a scientific approach to athletic conditioning and demonstrates how it can improve performance while maintaining an athlete’s health, especially those performing at intense levels of competition.
