Global Business Management BS

Rochester Institute of Technology · Rochester, NY

A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

Description
The global business management BS degree provides you with the essential skills to become an effective leader in a global economy, including motivating employees, communicating effectively, and leading regional and global teams. The comprehensive curriculum emphasizes solution-based thinking, cross-cultural teamwork, and management skills through various team projects with peers from partner universities and RIT's global campuses. The program also provides both depth and flexibility through management courses focused on operations management, strategic management, leadership, communication, and critical reasoning. You will also choose a concentration in either entrepreneurship, leadership, or supply chain management, as well as participate in an immersive international rotation. With a cohort of your fellow students, you will gain a global perspective of business and commerce by studying international business on three continents. While most of your course work will occur at RIT’s main campus, you will spend the spring semester of your second year at RIT Croatia, in Zagreb, the country's capital and a center for international trade and business. Then you will spend the spring semester of your third year at RIT Dubai, in Dubai Silicon Oasis, one of the world's leading business centers for advanced electronic innovation and design. In addition, you will have the opportunity to complete at least one semester of paid cooperative education.
