- RIT’s microelectronic engineering program combines an electrical engineering curriculum with semiconductor courses to master the materials, processes and devices in microchips. The degree is a five-year program that includes courses in electrical engineering, semiconductor processes and devices, and microchip manufacturing, plus nearly a year of hands-on cooperative education experience.
