A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

- Description
- Astrophysics is the application of physical principles to observations of astronomical phenomena, with the goal of improving our understanding of the properties, fate, and evolution of the universe and everything it contains. Students majoring in astrophysics gain the same critical thinking, quantitative problem-solving, computational data science, and communication skills of a physics major, as well as specialized knowledge of astronomical phenomena and their theoretical underpinnings. Astrophysics majors are well-prepared to continue their studies in graduate school in astronomy, physics, or a related field, or to enter the STEM workforce directly.
