Description
The Art History program provides a strong foundation in the study of visual and material culture from various historical periods and global regions. Students gain skills in visual analysis, critical thinking, and research by examining artworks within their social, cultural, political, and historical settings. Advanced courses focus on the student’s chosen area of interest and conclude with a thesis project. The program prepares students for careers in museums, galleries, education, and related fields, as well as for further study in art history and related disciplines.
