Description
Develop strong verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills, essential for conveying information clearly and persuasively. In this major you gain a greater understanding of the messages on both public and private delivery platforms. This major is also valuable if you’re interested in pursuing professions in politics, law, speech writing, media relations, as well as for those who wish to pursue graduate studies and teaching. A degree in Communication Studies opens the door to a wide variety of opportunities, including: Sales and Marketing, Community advocacy, Communication Coordinator/Director, Press Secretary, Public and Government Relations, Brand Strategist, Non-profit Administrator, Human Resources, Speech Writer, Event Planning, Lawyer, Public Health, Fundraising and Development, Public Policy, Talent Agent, Mediator.
