Description
The bachelor of technology in Criminal Justice is designed to give students a thorough hands-on preparation for employment in the field, either as public safety officials or in the private sector. Students are challenged by courses that address practical and current issues in law enforcement. To support individualized learning and align with student interests and workforce needs, the Criminal Justice program includes a 9-credit elective requirement of CJUS or related coursework, selected in consultation with an advisor. This elective component allows students to pursue advanced study in areas such as victimology, white-collar crime, emergency planning, or other approved topics aligned with their career goals while preserving overall program rigor and flexibility. The program also includes a 15-credit full-time internship to give students extensive experience in a real-world Criminal Justice setting.
