Equine Science

SUNY Morrisville · Morrisville, NY

A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

Description
The Equine Science minor is designed for students who wish to supplement their non-equine academic major with studies in equine science. Three courses (9 credits) are required of all equine science minor students and the six remaining credits are from their desired area of emphasis. Upper-level courses may be selected by the student to allow further breadth of study in equine nutrition, health issues, lameness, reproduction and breeding, animal genetics, physiology or business (6 credits). With completion of this minor, students will have a foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge of the equine industry.
