          1. Students placed on probation will receive an email from the department of Biological Sciences explaining their academic standing and outlining required remediation activities and advising. Students will have one fall or spring semester (depending on the semester in which they were placed on probation) and one summer to raise their “good standing GPA” up to minimum standards. Students who remain below the minimum 2.0 GPA will be dismissed from the Biological Sciences major.

          2. Students dismissed from the major will receive an email from the department of Biological Sciences explaining their academic standing, their major will be updated to “Exploratory Transitional” and they will be referred to the Exploratory and Pre-Professional Advising Center (EPAC). Students may reapply to the Biological Sciences major if they improve their “good standing GPA” to meet departmental standards.

          3. Each Pharmacy PharmD prerequisite course must be successfully completed with a grade equal to, or greater than, C (2.000). Submit an application through the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS) during the fall of the junior year, no later than October 1.
