Transfer Credit Policytransfer_creditTransfer Credit Policy For 3-year BSN, RN to BSN and RN-BSN to MSN Programs and Program Options, MSN, DNP, MPH, MSW, and MPAS and Graduate and Post Graduate Certificates Chamberlain University evaluates transfer courses from institutions accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the U.S. Department of Education*. An applicant seeking to transfer credit from another institution must request a credit evaluation prior to the first session at Chamberlain and provide a transcript from the institution where the credit was earned. Transfer of courses is considered on an individual basis. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) approved evaluating agency or Chamberlain's Internal Global Transcript Evaluation Services. Chamberlain may require a catalog or additional material. Transfer credit, proficiency credit, and course waivers may affect eligibility for financial assistance. Contact Advising & Retention Services for more information. Transfer credit, proficiency credit, and course waivers that satisfy graduation requirements is considered when determining a student’s academic level and progress; however, this credit is not used when computing GPA or residency requirements. All transfer credit must comply with residency and curriculum requirements. Students should be aware that actual degree requirements vary from institution to institution. If considering a transfer to Chamberlain College of Nursing, students should examine Chamberlain requirements early in their college experience to begin making transfer plans in advance. Transfer students must follow the Chamberlain admission guidelines and procedures. *Chamberlain reserves the right to admit candidates with equivalent educational qualifications from accreditors that are not recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the U.S. Department of Education, as determined by an independent transcript evaluation. If there are extenuating circumstances, such as lack of course availability or scheduling conflicts, a student may request permission from the dean to enroll in another institution. Transfer credit requested after initial registration must be approved by the dean prior to the student registering for a course at any other institution. For additional transfer credit guidelines, please see the Academic Catalog.489344-institution-info-81708f50-chamberlain.eduwww.chamberlain.edu
