- The Minor in Music Performance is for all student musicians across the campus, a wonderful complement to any and all majors. It is ideal for those who are committed to music making and eager to pursue development as performers in classical, jazz, contemporary, solo, chamber music, combos, bands, orchestras, jazz ensembles, dance bands, commercial music, theater orchestras, etc. This skills-based minor can position you for participation in collaborative community music making, gigging, even developing private teaching studios, as a complement to whatever your “day job” is. For the life-long learner the music performance minor is the skills-rich minor you want.
