A checklist is the list of requirements to complete this program and receive the award, as the college publishes it in its catalog. It is the same for everyone. It does not say what you have completed; that comes from applying your own record.

- Description
- 88-93 credits (no minor required) 2.0 GPA required. C grade or better required in GEOS 235 and above. Letter grade required in all major courses unless otherwise noted. Overview The Geoscience: Geology Option major is intended to be a more traditional geology program designed to provide students with the flexibility to explore specific areas of interest and adapt to changing employment markets. It focuses on fundamental skills while embracing the interdisciplinary nature of geoscience and emphasizing an Earth-systems approach to solving problems. This allows graduates to succeed in traditional industries (such as mining and petroleum) while also preparing them for 21st-century careers in areas like environmental consulting and renewable energy.
