32 courses with the subject MATH, each shown exactly as we captured it from the college's catalog, with every element we hold. Where the wording looks broken, that is our reading of the catalog, not the college's text.
MATH 050Intermediate Algebra3
A review of pre-algebra and intermediate algebra topics designed to prepare the student for college-level mathematics. This is a non-degree credit course and will not count toward meeting minimum total credit requirements for graduation. P/NC only. Offered each semester. Course Registration
Meets GOAL 4 and GOAL 10. This course develops and applies mathematical concepts and tools to quantitatively explore sustainability issues. Topics addressed in the course will be explored from environmental, social, and economic perspectives wherever possible, and may include such topics as industrial agriculture, energy sustainability, population growth, ecological footprints, and the security of land and water resources. The course will survey, in varying degrees of depth and detail, mathematical topics ranging from set theory, probability/statistics, and graph theory to algebra, calculus, and differential equations. Grade only. Offered each semester.
Meets GOAL 5 and GOAL 9 This course explores the intersection of mathematics and social justice, aiming to empower students with analytical tools to critically engage with issues of equity, access, and fairness in society. Through a combination of theoretical concepts, practical applications, and case studies, students will investigate how mathematical principles influence and are influenced by various social, economic, and political structures. Grade only. Offered annually (usually fall semester). Course Registration
