EEOL 305Development Observation: Children in Context1

This course explores the critical shift from a deficit-based to an asset-based mindset in education. We will examine how students bring a wealth of resources to the learning environment, including their individual experiences, abilities, talents, prior learning, social and peer interactions, language, culture, family, community values, and student development. Students will learn to recognize and leverage these assets to create inclusive and equitable learning experiences for all students.
