The Addictions Counseling Programs prepares students to enter the field of alcoholism and drug treatment. The major is approved by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) and has been designed to meet educational requirements for the Credential in Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counseling (CASAC). Graduates of the program are immediately eligible for CASAC Trainee certification through OASAS.
