The Paramedic, A.A.S. degree was designed to wrap around the 15-course series that leads to the Paramedic certificate. The program is designed so that students could complete their EMT-Basic ( EMSP 100 ) and EMT-Internship ( EMSP 101 ) during the first year along with liberal arts and science courses as specified below. Students who are already certified as NYS EMT-Basics may be eligible to challenge courses EMSP 100 and EMSP 101 through life experience.
