Teacher Preparation The Uniform Articulation Agreement in Teacher Preparation between the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) and the University of North Carolina (UNC) System is intended to provide smooth transfer for community college students who wish to continue their education in teacher preparation at constituent institutions of the University of North Carolina System.

The Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) and the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (ICAA) enables North Carolina community college graduates of two-year associate in arts programs who are admitted to constituent institutions of The University of North Carolina and to Signatory Institutions of North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities to transfer with junior status.

The initiative represents a strong partnership between RCC and Rockingham County Schools, which have expanded career and college opportunities for students through programs such as Career and College Promise, the CTE Innovative High School, and workforce development initiatives.

The State Board of Community Colleges approved the Uniform Articulation Agreement between the University of North Carolina Baccalaureate of Birth-Kindergarten and Early Childhood Related Programs and North Carolina Community College System Applied Associate in Early Childhood Education Programs.

This degree transfers to any university in the North Carolina University system per the NC Comprehensive Articulation Agreement .

University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) The Pathways to Excellence (PTE) program is a partnership between the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) and Rockingham Community College (RCC).

University Transfer Programs Associate in Arts, Associate in Science and Associate in Fine Arts The University Transfer degree programs are designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year institution.

Wesleyan College, Pfeiffer University, Queens University of Charlotte, Salem College, and Shaw University Details Lists of students enrolled receiving an associate degree during that academic year and those who had accumulated at least 30 articulated college transfer credit hours data were sent to UNCGA.
