BOT 210ZM Introduction to the Old Testament

(formerly BIB 220 ZM Story of Israel) This course is designed as a critical introduction to the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible in general and as a survey of the structure, contents, and major theological themes of the “Primary History” (the books of Genesis through Kings). The course is “critical” in the sense that its central intention is to orient students to and engage students in the responsible study of the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible in the contemporary world.
