SCR 100Story Arts: Explores how story connects in many ways to the making of a film. Students develop their3

writing skills while crafting scripts for each script type, audience, and purpose. They explore the dynamic relationships between writer and other key players in the production process and discover why and how a story transforms over its journey from script to screen. DIR100 – 3 Credit Hours - Directing: Introduces the Directing Team and their roles and responsibilities, while revealing methods used to prepare for and successfully direct a scene. Students apply this knowledge to directing short scenes for the camera. EDT100 – 3 Credit Hours - Post Production: Examines the art and craft of editing a film, following the editor from preproduction through finished edit. Topics include preparation, tools and techniques, while also covering the mindset and craftsmanship required to achieve an artistic and quality end product that speaks to its intended audience.
