17 courses. Harvest read no subject for these courses. That is a gap in our reading of the catalog, not in the college's catalog; each course is shown as we hold it until the reading is fixed.
Undergraduate Catalog
This catalog contains program information, policies, support services and requirements for students in four-year baccalaureate programs. See the Dougherty Family College Catalog for information about the two-year Associate of Arts program.
Some departments offer the opportunity to do research in the discipline. Students interested in pursuing credit for research should discuss their plans with the appropriate faculty member. When the project has been determined, the student and faculty member should complete the Individual Study/Research Form . The research contract must be approved by the supervising faculty member, the chair of the department, and the relevant dean and then submitted to the Office of Student Data and Registrar during the registration period. Regular tuition is charged.
A department chair/program director, dean, and/or the Student Grievance and Conduct Committee may investigate the grade appeal as needed, including requesting information from the student and faculty member, who are expected to promptly comply with any such requests. If a department chair/program director or dean determines that a grade change is not warranted based on the criteria above, they will inform the student in writing, and the student may elect to appeal to the next level within 10 business days, If a department chair/program director or dean determines that a grade change is warranted based on the criteria above, they must notify the instructor and explain their reasons to the instructor in writing. The instructor may then (within 10 business days): (1) voluntarily change the grade and inform the chair/director or dean that they have done so, (2) grant the administrator permission to change the grade without implying the instructor's endorsement, or (3) respond in writing to the administrator's determination and request that the administrator's determination be reviewed at the next level in the appeals process: the dean (if the department chair/program, director made the determination) or the Student Grievance and Conduct Committee (if the dean made the determination). If the faculty member elects the third option above, the student's grievance, the administrator's determination, and the faculty member's written response, along with any other documents considered by the administrator in connection with the grade appeal, will be forwarded by the administrator to the next level in the appeal process before any decision is finalized. If the faculty member does not take action within 10 business days of the administrator's notice that a grade change is warranted, the faculty member waives their right to request additional review and the student's grade will be changed.
Important Note: In the absence of a more stringent policy at the school or college level the University Graduate Academic Policies apply. Should a graduate program not have a specific policy or should there be omissions or gaps in the policy for a specific graduate school program, the University Graduate Policy shall govern.
Dougherty Family College students should immediately consult with their faculty mentors and associate dean of academics when thinking about withdrawing from all classes. Students may withdraw from the university (that is, withdraw from all classes) at any time by contacting the Academic Counseling & Support Office, but should use the Murphy Online process or paper Drop/Add form to withdraw their class registrations as soon as they decide to take that action. The standard withdrawal calendar as defined in the Changes in Registration section determines how the withdrawal will be recorded on the transcript. Students who withdraw from all classes must return any items that belong to the university (e.g., laptop computer and accessories, metro pass, etc.). Tuition refunds, if any, are established by the tuition refund schedule posted in the section on conditions determining tuition refunds.
