This supervised clinical experience provides students in the Medical Assisting program with hands-on exposure to realworld healthcare settings. Over 12 clinical days, students will engage in direct patient care, administrative tasks, and professional interactions, applying the competencies required for medical assistants in accordance with New York State regulations. Students will refine their skills in vital sign measurement, patient intake, medical documentation, and clinical procedures under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Emphasis is placed on developing professionalism, communication, ethical decision-making, and adherence to infection control and safety standards. In addition to clinical practice, students will participate in weekly group discussions to reflect on their experiences, share insights, and analyze best practices. Each student is required to submit a written summary for each clinical day, demonstrating their learning, challenges encountered, and strategies for professional growth.
