Attendance Policies Unique to the Dental Assisting Program
In addition to maintaining the grades specified above, students must have cumulative attendance of at least s e v e n t y ( 7 0 ) percent of the scheduled class hours. Attendance will be checked for compliance at the end of the second module (315 hours for day students and 225 hours for evening students) and the end of each payment period (450 hours). If a student does not have cumulative attendance of at least seventy (70) percent of the scheduled class hours at each checkpoint, then the student will be terminated from the program. NYSMDA does not allow students to make-up time to comply with this requirement.
