Comprehensive Exam degree requirements. IV (0 credits) UT 600 – Doctoral Following completion of the Master of Philosophy requirements, students are eligible for the Dissertation Proposal Doctor of Philosophy degree and prepare a dissertation proposal that must be approved by (0 credits) the faculty, normally submitted six months to one year following completion of the comprehensive examinations. When the principal advisers believe the student’s proposal is ready for formal review, a hearing is set up with the student and at least three faculty members of the dissertation committee.
