ESL 100INTRODUCTORY PASTORAL ENGLISH
This course will cover the first two levels of study of the ESL program. During the first level, the student will perfect his use of English grammar and syntactical structures in speaking and writing English. He will also read and discuss pertinent topics that deal with Theology and Philosophy. During the second level, he will focus on developing reading and writing skills that are appropriate for seminary study. He will also give oral presentations about such topics that are related to Theology and Philosophy. Program: Integrated English as a Second Language for Ministry; Department: ESL; Credits 12
This is an advanced course that allows the student to perfect his control of written and spoken English. The topics studied will come from the Breviary, Church documents, the sacraments, the liturgy, etc. Seminarians will concentrate on writing graduate-level research papers, reflections, and even homilies.
