The goal of this course is to provide a comprehensive background in the history and philosophy of science for non-science majors. Particular attention will be given to the following: scientific methodology; the Scientific Revolution; Newtonian Mechanics; Relativity Theory: Big Bang Cosmology; evolution; and Genetics. Special attention will also be given to human anatomy and reproduction. Questions of the human person’s unique place within Creation, as well as the relationship between faith and science will also be explored. Program: College; Department: Humanities and Science
