This course examines the role of school, family and community engagements as a component of educational reform. The focus is to analyze the research reflecting the impact of home/school and community/school partnerships on student learning. Furthermore, this course will seek to explore the various theoretical frameworks that focus on family types, cultlures, economic conditions, school systems, community services, political forces, advocacy groups and other additional factors that impact young children and their families with special needs.
