Minimum credits required 28 Students will have the opportunity to earn the Lexis+ Paralegal Certificate as part of PLG207. P ARTICIPATION IN PLG C OURSES U SING L IVE , S YNCHRONOUS V IDEO S ESSIONS (G LOBAL L EARN ) Students are expected to treat class meetings via video conferencing (Global Learn) as if attending a class on campus. Students are expected to be on time for class sessions and to stay for the entire duration. Students are expected to behave professionally, including adhering to the University dress code, and to treat others with courtesy and respect. Students are expected to avoid inappropriate surroundings and should refrain from using inappropriate language or behavior. Students must have and use a camera and microphone when attending live video sessions. The camera must be on, providing a live feed, and the student’s face must appear in the frame. Students may not join a class while driving or riding in a car. Students are expected to join from a suitable, quiet location using a device that allows full participation in class activities. The University strives to provide the best student experience when delivering course content. In doing so, we feel that delivering live, synchronous lectures weekly provides our students and faculty with the opportunity to interact in real time. Attendance in these live, synchronous sessions is essential for student success. Throughout the program, students will find that many classes require attendance at live sessions. R EQUIRED A TTENDANCE Whether the PLG course is delivered in a physical classroom or via Global Learn, paralegal students enrolled in a class with required live class sessions are expected to attend each live session. Unless otherwise stated in your course, students who miss more than two hours (120 minutes) of total combined class meetings will receive an F grade. American National University Catalog © 2026.
