  9. In order to remain as a psychology major, a student must maintain a cumulative Psychology GPA of 2.5 (C+) or above on a 4.00 scale. If a student fails to maintain a cumulative Psychology GPA of 2.5 (C+), the student must regain a cumulative Psychology GPA of 2.5 (C+) or higher in two semesters. During this academic recovery period, the student is required to get a Success Coach and tutoring at the Student Success Center. If a student fails to improve the cumulative Psychology GPA in these two semesters, the student may be asked to transfer to another major.

  10. In order to remain as a psychology major, a student must not earn less than a C twice in psychology courses, including PSYCH 101. For example, if a student earns less than a C in a psychology course, the student may retake the course and may remain a psychology major if the student passes the course a second time with a C or above. If the same student earns less than a C in another psychology course, the student may retake the course and may remain a psychology major if the student passes the course a second time with a C or above. If the same student earns less than a C in a third psychology course, the student may no longer be allowed to remain a psychology major.
