This course provides tools for appropriate and professional communications in organizational settings. Reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills will be emphasized for formal and informal business and managerial settings. A professional managerial report will be required.
This course will help students apply economic theory to managerial decision making and will develop students’ managerial skills as they relate to economic concepts. This course provides basic skills and knowledge for making financial related managerial decisions. Topics include: Time value of money, calculating bond value, capital budgeting, and stock evaluation.
An examination of the management of human resources as a strategic process while emphasizing Equal Opportunity Employment requirements and initiatives. From a management perspective, issues in job analysis, recruitment, selection, training and development, compensation, and evaluation processes will be discussed.
As a capstone course, all business functions are addressed for their role in the comprehensive nature of strategic management. Developing an all-inclusive perspective and plan of selecting/creating and executing strategy for problem solving is a major outcome of the course.
