Credit(s) Offered: once a year Scientific and Philosophical Study of Consciousness will provide the opportunity to develop a deeper appreciation of the nature of consciousness. Students will examine consciousness from such theoretical perspectives as functionalism, eliminative materialism, cognitivism and biological naturalism.
