per semester See Thesis Continuation Fee This course facilitates the student's completion of the thesis requirement through independent study supervised and monitored by the Associate Dean of Doctoral Studies and the Doctoral Committee. Students are required to maintain active research on a thesis topic and to document their work through periodic written reports to, and direct consultations with the Doctoral Committee. The Committee will evaluate the substance of the work done and make suggestions regarding the direction and progress of the research. The program brings faculty and students from each of the five institutional partners into asynchronous online classrooms, cultivating an international exchange of ideas and allowing students from five conservatories in three different time zones to work at their own pace, completing courses around busy rehearsal and practice schedules.
