EDECE 491Student Teaching

ECE/Nursery School 6 cr The student teaching experience involves the pro- spective teacher in a nursery school setting for 8 weeks and in a primary classroom for 8 weeks (EDELM 491) During this capstone experience, the student teacher assumes teaching responsibilities applies theory to practice, and develops a personai teaching style under the supervision of the coope- rating teacher and university supervisor Verifica- tion of student competency will be determined jointly by the cooperating teacher and the univer- sity supervisor No other credits may be taken while the student is enrolled in 491 or in EDELM 491 with- out special permission of the Early Childhood Coodinator and the student teaching office
