PMR 731Phase II Elective in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation6
The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Phase II elective will provide foundational exposure and training in PM&R evaluations and treatment plans with a focus on neurologic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. The elective will expose the student to the field of PM&R including neurological injuries, sports injuries, congenital and acquired disabilities, complications of functional impairment, and the restoration and maintenance of function. The student will be exposed to therapies, medications, and procedures typically used in PM&R practice.

PMR 740Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Acting Internship5
The medical students will participate in PM&R evaluations, care for patients on the inpatient rehabilitation service, inpatient PM&R consult service and management of patients within the outpatient clinics. The course will allow the student to build on their physical examination and diagnostic skills through clinical participation, practice, and feedback provided by the attending physicians. They will actively participate in management discussion with interdisciplinary teams during their rotation.
