The study of market analysis, consumer behavior and the four components of the marketing mix-product, price, promotion and distribution. Marketing issues will be examined through case studies and projects utilizing marketing research and analytical techniques. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing. Three hours per week. The study of individuals, groups, or organizations and the processes they use to select, secure, use and dispose of products, services, experiences, or ideas to satisfy needs and the impacts that these processes have on the consumer and society. This class explores the core principles of consumer behavior and understanding consumer markets and how they are linked to and impact marketing strategy and tactical marketing decisions.
