This course provides opportunities to participate in project-based, hands-on partnership with community organizations. Students gain experience in leadership and teamwork while meeting community needs. Writing/oral-intensive, the course promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, civic engagement, communication, and cultural awareness. This is a course designed to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and skills required of effective leaders. Includes experiential learning exercises, interactions with peers and college and community leaders, and written assignments. Issues of personal growth, multiple populations, and interpersonal relationships are explored within the context of leadership development. Students will work in campus or community-based organizations applying the principles and concepts learned in classroom theory. Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring
