This course will include faculty and guest lectures, article reviews and practical experiences that aim to explore and discuss important problems and issues facing public health. This course will focus on methods of health research, epidemiology, communication, health economics, and writing skills. (3 credit hours) GMPH 700-01 Epidemiology I - This introductory course features biostatistical concepts, principles, and methods used in public health and biomedical science disciplines. Taught as part of the core curriculum for all students in Master of Science in Public Health, the major goal of this course is to enable students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills applicable to public health research and practices. Specific topics include methods for describing central tendency and variability in data; and performing inference and hypothesis testing on population mean and proportion differences.
