This course is an introduction to the language that is at the founda- tion of the Romance family of languages, with the aim of improving students’ grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Through short readings, students will also get a glimpse not only into the roots of modern languages, but also into the beginnings of Euro- pean culture.
